EuroBioImaging node in Praha with Brillouin Micrcoscopy

Berlin, March, 2026 –

Brillouin microscopy is now accessible to the scientific community through the Euro-BioImaging network, with the IPHYS BioImaging Facility at the Prague Node offering open access to this technology. The system enables non-contact, label-free mapping of mechanical properties such as elasticity and viscoelasticity in cells, tissues, and plant samples, and can be directly combined with spinning-disk fluorescence imaging for correlated multimodal analysis. This development marks an important step toward integrating biomechanical readouts into advanced bioimaging workflows across Europe. Read more via the Euro-BioImaging network.
